About Pigged Off
Pigged Off wants you to vent your frustrations, express your opinions and tell the world about the shady companies, dangerous drivers and antisocial behaviour causing you the most headaches.
We’re a new breed of information sharing by which you share your complaints about companies with other Pigged Off members who then use their combined ‘people power’ to try to change the way these companies act and behave.
Pigged Off works because:
- ‘Named and shamed’ companies and individuals will be seen publicly by their friends, family, employers, insurance companies and people in authority, which might make them think twice before repeating their actions.
- Adding comments to our website is less daunting than complaining direct to companies or your local council (though we recommend a two-pronged approach, to contact the company and post your complaint here).
- You will be taken seriously and not put in a file, kept ‘on hold’ or forgotten about.
- Comments are monitored and only accepted from registered users.
Pigged off turns angst to action because:
- When names and companies crop-up repeatedly collective action is made possible.
- The more complaints we receive, the more likely companies will be forced to change their ways and improve their future services/behaviour.
- Customer service complaints will highlight how good initial deals (knock-down prices) might turn into nightmare experiences, which means helping others to make informed choices.
- You can post anonymous complaints about your neighbourhood and local problems for local councils and police to see without fear of reprisal.
